Whether from a canoe or kayak on the South Fork of the Flambeau River or from a decked-out 19 foot Ranger Bass Boat with a 150 HP Mercury using only Shimano Curado reels on St. Croix Rods (made in Park Falls, Wisconsin) on a local body of water, you will catch fish. The Resort’s professional guide, “The Colonel”, is passionate to share this incredible space with all guests. Whether for relaxation, exploring, fishing, hunting, or snowmobiling, we offer premium outdoor opportunities and experiences for people of all generations and skill levels.
Enjoy your stay, our very updated and modern 1960 Log Cabin and Lodge is tucked away and secluded in Price County mid-way between Parks Falls and Phillips, Wisconsin. Our small pier is right after the Rock Ledge Rapids on the South Fork of the Flambeau River Flowage and about 1 mile of open water upstream of the Rock Ledge Rapids.
Our Cabin and Lodge has a uniquely decorated style that integrates the warmth and feel of the Northwoods with hand-tied vegetable-dyed carpets from Afghanistan. We are a dog friendly Resort! Our Cabin and Lodge is a 4-season resort complete with smart TVs and high speed fiber optic internet for those of you that must work while visiting. Our gourmet kitchen is designed for “lots of cooks in the kitchen.” Enjoy the warmth of a wood burning Vermont Stove in the winter months. A Weber and Traeger grill is also available for outdoor cooking. All of our accommodations come with towels, sheets, pillowcases, pillows, duvets and covers or blankets.
We only ask that you bring your own bathroom necessities.
A Yamaha Grizzly ATV as well as a Ski Doo and Polaris snowmobiles with helmets are available for an extra fee. Renting an ATV or snowmobile will give you endless possibilities for adventure and exploration. Bring a bike and ride easily for miles of gravel roads without any traffic. The Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest is located 30 minutes away, covering over a million and a half acres. Copper Falls State Park is a 3,068-acre state park about an hour away and contains a section of the Bad River and its tributary the Tylers Forks. Ancient lava flows, deep gorges and spectacular waterfalls make Copper Falls State Park one of Wisconsin’s most scenic parks.
If our 54 acre Cabin and Lodge is not enough, 358 acres of public land are within 2 miles of our boundaries. Entrance to Price County’s ATV and Snowmobile routes is within a mile of the property entrance. The numerous bodies of water contained within this region will present you with vast opportunities to fish and the land will present world-class hunting for a variety of species in many different environments. Six tree stands are available on site.

Black bears, whitetail deer, turkeys, and ruffed grouse are daily visitors! The nearby Phillips Chain of Lakes, comprises four lakes with a surface area of nearly 1,216 acres and are one of Wisconsin’s best kept fishing secrets; 20 fish species are present, the principle predators in the Phillips Chain of Lake are walleyes, northern pike, and the muskellunge.
Nearby Park Falls, Wisconsin is known as the “Ruffed Grouse Capital of the World,” an accolade it truly deserves. Locals refer to these hardy woodland birds as “partridges.” The ruffed grouse, which is about the size of a small chicken, is best known for the amazing drumming sound the males make each spring as they search for a mate.
Wisconsin and deer hunting go hand in hand. Deer hunting in Wisconsin isn’t just a part of the culture, it is the culture. We offer a traditional tree-stand whitetail hunt.

The Colonel is on the water nearly every day of the open water season and he will have current information regarding active bite and the best waters to fish.
